Alison Mossey is an adjunct professor of flute at Campbell University, where she is affiliated with the Department of Fine Arts in the College of Arts & Sciences. She concurrently serves on the faculty of Pitt Community College, teaching applied flute, piano, and music appreciation, and maintains a private music studio in Greenville, NC. Her performance roles include principal flutist of the Barton-Wilson Symphony Orchestra and membership in the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, Trent River Chamber Orchestra, and other groups. She holds a BM in Flute Performance from The Hartt School of Music and an MM in Flute Performance from East Carolina University.
Her research and performance interests span flute performance, music pedagogy, and orchestral/chamber music. She has won prestigious awards, including the Music Teachers’ National Association Woodwind Competition and multiple National Flute Association Professional Flute Choir Competitions. Her teaching and performance activities are complemented by her private studio and collaborations with ensembles.
