Alison Curnow

Professor Alison Curnow serves as Professor of Academic Medicine within the Clinical and Biomedical Sciences department at the University of Exeter Medical School. With over twenty years of experience, she has been instrumental in developing and delivering medical and scientific undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Internationally recognized for her photodynamic therapy (PDT) research in non-melanoma skin cancer treatment, she operates from the Knowledge Spa at Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro, UK.

Her academic foundation includes:

• PhD in Surgery from University College London
• BSc (Hons) in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Surrey
• PGCE from the University of Plymouth

Professor Curnow's research spans photodynamic therapy applications for skin cancer, oncology, carcinogenesis, and clinical sciences, with significant contributions to biochemistry, cell biology, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical sciences.
