Alisha Janowsky is a Senior Lecturer and Associate Chair for Instruction and Students in the Department of Psychology at the University of Central Florida (UCF). She holds a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Florida Atlantic University (2004) and has been with UCF since 2006. Her roles include directing the Psychology Undergraduate Program and overseeing undergraduate instruction and student affairs.
Dr. Janowsky specializes in teaching general psychology, social psychology, and statistical methods. She is a recipient of numerous teaching awards, including the University Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award and the Chuck D. Dziuban Award for Excellence in Online Teaching. Her service contributions include roles as a Faculty Fellow for the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning, and advisory board memberships with the Center for Distributed Learning and Student Accessibility Services.
Her research focuses on pedagogical strategies in online education, curriculum development for social justice and inclusion, and integrating career readiness competencies into psychology programs. Recent work emphasizes high-impact practices and accreditation standards alignment.
