Alireza Safarpour

Alireza Safarpour is a Doctoral Candidate and Researcher at the University of Tampere, affiliated with the Operations and Supply Chain Group (OSCG) and the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. His research focuses on the intersection of public policy, sustainability, and the role of artificial intelligence in governance. He holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration (2018–2020) and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science (2013–2018).

His work addresses challenges in sustainable supply chains and government-industry collaboration for sustainable development. Key research areas include higher education internationalization in low-income regions, policy design for AI integration, and globalization impacts.

His 2024 article examines strategies for internationalizing higher education in East African countries, emphasizing sustainable solutions. He received the Triple Helix Best Conference Paper Award in 2022.
