Alireza Naghavi is a Full Professor of Economics at the University of Bologna and holds adjunct roles at John Hopkins University SAIS and Dickinson College. He directs the Bachelor's program in Economics of Tourism in Rimini. His research focuses on international trade, institutions, intellectual property rights (IPR), migration, and the economics of religion. He holds a Ph.D. from University College Dublin and has led major projects like the European Commission’s FP7 initiative INGINEUS and the PRIN project on protectionist policies. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with empirical analysis, addressing contemporary challenges in globalization, innovation, and development.
