Alina Roitstein

Alina Roitstein is a Lecturer in Music at Pomona College since 2022. As a versatile vocalist, she has performed globally across diverse genres including opera, jazz, Latin music, and contemporary works. Her expertise spans chamber music and choral performance, with notable collaborations at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall, Disney Hall, and London's Wigmore Hall.

Performance Highlights:

• Premiered new works by composers such as Juhi Bansal, Jordan Nelson, and Thomas Kotcheff
• Featured in groundbreaking improvised opera The Discord Altar (OperaWorks' Arts for Social Awareness Project)
• Grammy-winning choral performance with Los Angeles Philharmonic

• Singer/composer for River Song Quintet (chamber jazz)
• Performer with Trevor Anderies Quintet (jazz-folk-African fusion)
