Alina Dana Weber

Alina Dana Weber is an Associate Professor of German at Florida State University, serving as Director of the German Basic Language Program and the German Program’s study-abroad adviser. Her research focuses on performance, theatre, and cultural transfers in contemporary German culture, with additional interests in folklore and literature. She chairs the International Society for Cultural History and co-edits its book series with Routledge, while also serving as a DAAD Research Ambassador.

Her academic contributions include books like *Blood Brothers and Peace Pipes: Performing the Wild West in German Festivals* (2019) and edited volumes such as *Former Neighbors, Future Allies?* (2023). Her articles analyze topics ranging from Quentin Tarantino’s cinematic reinterpretations to gender dynamics in Karl May’s works. In 2023, she received the FSU Developing Scholar Award.

Weber teaches courses on German culture, film, and literature, including specialized topics like *German Fantasies of Native America* and *Performances of Otherness*.
