Alina Berg

Alina Berg is a researcher and doctoral candidate at the Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich, affiliated with the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology under the Faculty for the Study of Culture. Her work explores the intersections of nature and culture, particularly through museum studies and material anthropology.

Research Interests: Her areas of focus include materiality, art and museum anthropology, digital humanities, economic anthropology, ritual and religion, environmental anthropology, and psychological anthropology with a specialization in neuro- and cognitive sciences.

Projects: She is actively involved in the Cambridge-LMU strategic partnership project, which reimagines human-environment relations in museums, and is researching the entanglements of 'nature' and 'culture' through Pounamu. Her advisors include Prof. Dr. Philipp Schorch (LMU) and Dr. Nicholas Thomas (MAA Cambridge).
