Dr. Alicia Macchione serves as Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychology, Sociology and Social Work at West Texas A&M University's Terry B. Rogers College of Education and Social Sciences, joining the faculty in Summer 2023.

Her research investigates stereotypic attitudes and biases through the lens of minority experiences at the intersection of gender, ethnicity, and race, with emphasis on identity development and educational outcomes. Current work focuses on repairing STEM's 'leaky pipeline' by designing interventions to boost participation of underrepresented groups.
