Alicia Cast

Alicia Cast was a distinguished Professor of Sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), specializing in social psychology, family dynamics, and gender studies. She held leadership roles in the American Sociological Association (ASA) and contributed to the development of the General Social Survey’s Identity Module. Her research focused on identity formation, emotions, and their impacts on mental health and social inequality.
