Dr. Alicen Rushevics is a Lecturer in the Department of Communication Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research analyzes rhetorical dimensions of U.S. imperialism, indigenous rights, and reparative justice across Pacific contexts. She holds an M.A. in Communication Arts (UW-Madison), M.A. in Philosophy (Gonzaga), and B.A. in Communication Studies and Philosophy (Gonzaga).
Research examines how discourses of trauma, apology, and historical memory mediate settler-colonial power structures and indigenous resistance movements.
