Alice Violet

Alice Violet is a Senior Lecturer and Besse Senior Scholar at Worcester College, University of Oxford, focusing on corpus linguistics, contrastive linguistics (French-English), and phraseology. Her research bridges lexis and grammar, with a doctoral thesis on determination in prepositional phrases. She explores semantics of prepositions, discourse markers, and prescriptivism in digital communication. Current projects include a book expanding her doctoral work and studies on phraseodidactics and online language norms.
