Alice Shirley

Alice Shirley is an Associate Lecturer in Agricultural Science and Industries (Education-Focused) at the School of Life and Environmental Sciences, The University of Sydney, holding a BSc/BAnVetBioSc (Hons I).

Her research prioritizes livestock welfare and production through:

Shirley coordinates the Agricultural Science undergraduate Professional Development program, facilitating work placements across farming, agribusiness, and research sectors. She also teaches Global Challenges: Food, Water, Climate, a foundational unit examining 21st-century environmental issues in Australian and global contexts.

Her current Dairy UP project develops practical heat stress solutions for dairy cattle, generating significant industry impact.
