Alice Baker is a Lecturer in Law and Adjunct Faculty at Columbia Law School. She serves as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the environmental law division of the New York City Law Department, addressing environmental and municipal legal issues, climate litigation, and policy advocacy. Previously, she worked at PennFuture (a Pennsylvania environmental nonprofit), Super Law Group, and directed the New York City Environmental Law Leadership Institute (NYCELLI), which supports emerging environmental attorneys.
Education: J.D. and Master’s of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School (20XX), B.A. from Bard College (20XX).
Her practice focuses on advising city agencies, negotiating settlements, defending environmental litigation, and representing the City in climate change-related lawsuits. Courses taught include Legal Practice Workshop II (Spring 2024/2025).
