Ali Tosyali

Ali Tosyali serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of MIS, Marketing, and Analytics within the Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). His research lies at the intersection of network science, machine learning, and information systems, with applications in financial services analytics, social network analysis, healthcare analytics, digital platforms, and business analytics.

His recent work includes developing an AI tool (MDscan) for mental disorder screening using explainable AI, reducing essential sensors in semiconductor manufacturing via sparse PCA, and detecting fake-review buyers on Amazon through network structure analysis. These contributions have been published in top journals including PNAS, JMIS, and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.

Dr. Tosyali teaches business intelligence and data analytics courses such as MGIS-355 (Business Intelligence), MGIS-489 (Seminar in MIS), MGIS-599 (Independent Study), and MGIS-650 (Introduction to Data Analytics and Business Intelligence).
