Prof. Dr. Ali Serpengüzel is a faculty member in the Department of Physics at Koç University, College of Sciences, where he has been serving since 1999. He is the founding director of the Microphotonics Research Laboratory, a leading research center in photonics and optical technologies at the university.
His research focuses on microphotonics, photonics, and applied optics, with applications in sensing, integrated optical devices, and nanophotonic systems. His work bridges fundamental physics and engineering applications, contributing significantly to the advancement of optical science in Turkey and internationally.
Prof. Serpengüzel has made substantial scholarly contributions, with a record of 60 journal articles, 50 conference papers, and over 190 conference presentations, including 70 invited talks. His research output reflects sustained activity and recognition in the global photonics community.
