Ali Hval (she/her) is an Assistant Professor of Instruction and Lecturer in Painting and Drawing at the University of Iowa, based in Iowa City. Her practice bridges painting, ceramics, sculpture, installation, and public art, emphasizing community engagement through collaborative projects. She has received the Windgate Fellowship, the Emerging Woman Artist honor from Arts to Hearts Project (2023), and grants from the Iowa Arts Council.
