Ali Hosseini

Dr. Ali Hosseini is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Ontario Tech University. He holds a Ph.D. from the same institution (2013), along with M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran. His research focuses on Additive Manufacturing, Subtractive Manufacturing, Material Behavior, and Machining Difficult-to-Cut Materials. He is affiliated with the MRLab (https://mrlab.ca/) and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in manufacturing processes, dynamics, and materials science.

Dr. Hosseini has received multiple awards, including the Ontario Tech Engineering Research Award (2023) and four Student Choice Award nominations (2017–2024).

His articles explore topics like GTN model parameters for stainless steel failure prediction and tool path optimization for non-Cartesian systems. He actively collaborates on projects involving material extrusion, selective laser sintering, and CNC drilling algorithms. His lab (MRLab) drives advancements in smart manufacturing tools and sustainable processes.
