Ali Araghi is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Pennsylvania State University. He holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from Washington University in St. Louis and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Notre Dame. His work bridges Iranian and global literary traditions, with a focus on fiction and translation.

His research interests include creative writing, translation, and Iranian literature. He created Persian, Translated, an online database cataloging Persian literature in English translations. His work has been featured in The New Yorker, Prairie Schooner, and Asymptote.
