Ali Adibi is a Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, where he serves as director of the Center for Advanced Processing-tools for Electromagnetic/acoustics Xtals (APEX). He holds the Joseph M. Pettit Faculty Chair and specializes in photonics research with applications spanning biosensing, optical communications, and biomedical imaging.
His research focuses on interdisciplinary areas including:
- Photonic crystal devices for wavelength division multiplexing and biosensors
- Ultra-compact spectrometers for environmental monitoring
