Ali Abd Almisreb

Dr. Ali Abd Almisreb is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the International University of Sarajevo. He currently serves as Director of the Graduate Office and Editor-in-Chief of the Southeast Europe Journal of Soft Computing, and holds the role of Pie&AI Ambassador at deeplearning.ai. His global collaborations span institutions in Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Slovenia, Switzerland, and beyond. With over 80 research publications, his work focuses on AI applications in healthcare, cybersecurity, IoT, and soft computing methodologies.

Dr. Almisreb has mentored over 120 graduation projects, 25 master’s students, and 7 PhD candidates. His research interests include deep learning for medical imaging, generative AI ethics, blockchain interoperability, and machine learning in agricultural systems. Notable contributions include studies on tumor detection via CNNs, stress level classification systems, and IoT-based environmental monitoring applications.
