Alhassan Abdullah

Alhassan Abdullah holds a Senior Lecturer position at Charles Sturt University, Australia, while also serving as an adjunct academic at Flinders University's College of Education, Psychology, and Social Work. He earned a PhD in Social Work from the University of Hong Kong (2022) and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (Honours) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana (2017).

His research focuses on child neglect, family violence, multicultural social work practices, and informal caregiving systems. He contributes to editorial boards of Child Abuse & Neglect, Child Protection and Practice, and Practice Social Work in Action. His work addresses child protection frameworks in global contexts, with particular attention to African and CALD communities.

Recent publications (2023–2025) emphasize culturally contextualized child welfare studies, cognitive neuroscience methodologies, and gerontological caregiving dynamics. He teaches advanced social work topics including research methodologies, child protection, and family well-being.
