Alfredo Cuervo Pando is an Associate Professor at the University of Murcia, affiliated with the Department of Fine Arts within the Faculty of Fine Arts. He holds a Doctorate from the Universitat Politècnica de València, completing his thesis on calcographic printing techniques in 2001 under Dr. Miguel Ángel Ríos Palomares. His research focuses on innovative art materials, sustainable practices, and pedagogical strategies in visual arts education.
Prof. Cuervo Pando has contributed to educational reforms at the university level, including Bologna Process adaptations and mobile learning models for art education. He has pioneered projects using recycled botanical materials for artistic creation, such as peach leaf pulp sculptures, emphasizing eco-conscious practices.
