About
Dr. Alfred Lindl serves as Head of the BMBF junior research group FALKO-PV at the University of Regensburg since 2021, focusing on predictive validation of professional knowledge tests for teachers across six subjects. He concurrently remains a member of the FALKO research group for Latin instruction since 2012.
His academic foundation includes a doctorate in Latin Philology (2013-2018) examining Tacitus' Annals readership, complemented by state certification for Gymnasium teaching in Latin, Mathematics, and Educational Science. Previously, he contributed to research at Chairs of Empirical Educational Research, Latin Philology, and Mathematics Education between 2013-2021.
Research priorities encompass teacher competency frameworks, subject-specific assessment validation, and cognitive translation processes, bridging educational methodology with classical philology. Current projects emphasize transdisciplinary approaches to measuring pedagogical knowledge through empirical testing.
Teaching responsibilities include Statistics I-IV lecture series, R programming workshops for data analysis, and research seminars for early-career academics. Contact occurs via alfred.lindl@ur.de or +49 941 943-7633 at Sedanstraße 1, Room 139, with appointments scheduled by email.
