Alfred Darnell

Alfred Darnell is a Lecturer in Political Science at Washington University's School of Arts & Sciences. His research revolves around two primary threads: evolutionary processes of government institutions and political engagements of minority groups globally. He teaches courses on Social & Political Movements, Race & Ethnicity in American Politics, Politics of Identity, Research Design, Racial and Ethnic Relations in the US, and The Native American Experience.

Research Focus: Darnell investigates how bureaucratic institutions evolve and how minority groups interact with political systems. His work spans comparative analysis of indigenous political engagements worldwide.
