Dr. Alfonso Ferguson is a core faculty member in the Department of Counseling at Saybrook University, specializing in culturally responsive counseling practices. He holds licenses as a Mental Health Counselor in NY, NJ, and FL, with expertise in LGBTQ+ Afro-Caribbean experiences, Black counselor education, and adoption microaggressions. His teaching philosophy emphasizes social justice through strength-based approaches, facilitation, and real-world application.
