Alexis E. Block is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering at Case Western Reserve University's Case School of Engineering. Her research focuses on human-robot interaction, social robotics, and tactile sensor technologies. She holds a Doctor of Science in Computer Science from ETH Zurich and the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (2021), a Master of Science in Robotics from the University of Pennsylvania (2017), and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania (2016).

She has also served as a Computing Innovations (CI) Fellow at UCLA from 2021 to 2023.
