Alexis C. Edwards, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics (VIPBG) at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her research program investigates the etiology of substance use disorders, suicidal behavior, and internalizing problems, examining how genetic factors, psychological characteristics, and environmental exposures contribute to these outcomes.
