Dr. Alexia Achtypi is a Senior Lecturer in Education (SEN and Inclusion) at the University of Northampton's Faculty of Health, Education and Society. She teaches across BA, FDLT, PGCE, and MA programs, serves as a moderating tutor for school placements, and supervises students at multiple academic levels. Her PhD research focused on stakeholders' perspectives regarding iPad practices for autistic pupils' social communication and emotional regulation.
Dr. Achtypi's research examines technology-enhanced learning for autism, specializing in digital tools for social communication, emotional regulation, and e-inclusion. Her recent publications analyze iPad applications in special education settings and immersive technologies for blended learning environments. She actively contributes to the Centre for Active Digital Education (CADE) and serves as Honorary Research Associate at University of East Anglia's Centre for Higher Education Research Practice Policy and Scholarship (CHERPPS).
