Alexi Freeman

Alexi Freeman (she/her) is a Professor of the Practice of Law at the Sturm College of Law, University of Denver, where she serves as Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Director of Externships and Social Justice Initiatives. She leads the nationally recognized externship program and teaches social change lawyering courses.

Freeman focuses on experiential legal education, rural legal advocacy, and equity in law. Her work bridges social justice initiatives with law school pedagogy, emphasizing grassroots engagement and movement lawyering.

She has received multiple honors including the Robert B. Yegge Excellence in Teaching Award and recognition as a Colorado LGBT Ally of the Year. Freeman also secured grants from IRISE and the Center for Community Engagement.
