About
Alexandre Zotine is a Research Fellow (postdoctoral researcher) at McMaster University’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics. He is currently affiliated with the Fields Institute as part of their Thematic Program in Commutative Algebra and Applications. His research focuses on vector bundles, algebraic geometry, and computational algebra, with a strong emphasis on software development (e.g., contributions to Macaulay2). He has participated in numerous academic events, including the SIAM Conference on Applied Algebraic Geometry (2025) and the Joint Mathematics Meetings (2024).
Teaching roles include MATH3U03: Combinatorics (McMaster University, Fall 2024) and courses at Queen’s University (2023–2024). His research interests span vector bundles, toric varieties, and numerical methods in algebraic geometry. Recent work includes exploring conjectures in arithmetic dynamics and advancing computational tools for algebraic structures.
Zotine has collaborated on projects such as the multigraded BGG correspondence and numerical computations of Jacobian endomorphism rings. His involvement in thematic programs and workshops highlights expertise in applying algebraic geometry to computational problems.
