About
Alexandre Walker is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Ottawa and a Research Officer at the National Research Council Canada's Advanced Electronics & Photonics Research Centre. His research focuses on developing advanced semiconductor devices including short-wave infrared focal plane arrays, InGaAs/InP avalanche photodiodes, and GaN/InP high-electron-mobility transistors.
Research Projects:
- Development of InP/InGaAs infrared focal plane arrays
- InGaAs/InP avalanche photodiode optimization
- GaN and InP high electron mobility transistors
- Organic field-effect transistor design
With international experience at Germany's Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems, he explores III-V semiconductor technologies for terrestrial and space applications. He holds patents for radiation-hardened solar cells and photovoltaic components.
