Alexandre Hanft

Alexandre Hanft is a Researcher at the Intelligent Information Systems (IIS) Division of the Institute of Computer Science, University of Hildesheim. His work focuses on case-based reasoning (FBS), collaborative multi-expert systems, knowledge management from a process perspective, databases, and semantic wikis.

• Education: Degree in Computer Science from Humboldt University of Berlin (Oct 1996 - Nov 2004).
• Professional History: Research assistant in the Artificial Intelligence research group at Humboldt University (May 1998 - April 2002); continued as a research assistant at the University of Hildesheim since Dec 2004.

His teaching includes programming topics in C++, database application development, semantic technologies, distributed learning systems, and data warehousing. He co-developed the CookIIS system, which won awards in the Computer Cooking Contest.

Scientific Awards:

• 1st Computer Cooking Contest - Menu Challenge (2008)
• 2nd Computer Cooking Contest - World Champion (2009)

He participated as co-chair in the FGWM 06 workshop during LWA 06 at the University of Hildesheim.
