Alexandra Sarasá is a Professor of Journalism at the Methodist University of São Paulo since 2011, teaching digital journalism and long-form reporting. She holds a PhD in Social Communication (2018), Master's (2008), and a Journalism degree (1995) from the same institution. Her research focuses on media, religion, and women's experiences, particularly in boundary situations. She co-authored the award-winning digital book Cozinha de Afeto (2015), honored as the best Digital Gastronomy e-book in Brazil and second-best globally. She is a member of the MIRE research group (Media, Religion, and Culture) and actively coordinates international academic exchange programs with institutions in Spain, Poland, China, and others.

She has authored books including Mulheres sobre Rodas (2008) and Nossas Senhoras do Brasil (2017), blending storytelling with cultural and religious themes. As a teacher-editor, she oversees student-produced content for the Rudge Ramos Online portal.
