She is affiliated with multiple centers including the Bone Health group, CRUK Convergence Science Centre, and the Centre for Neurotechnology. Her research focuses on correlative electron microscopy techniques to study biomaterial-cell interactions, with applications in bone implant optimization, air pollution's health impacts, and nanomaterial-based treatments for tuberculosis and breast cancer. She collaborates with leading institutions such as the National Heart and Lung Institute and the Rosalind Franklin Institute.
- Education:
- MEng from Oxford University
- PhD in Biomedical Materials from Cambridge University
Her research interests span mechanistic studies of biomaterial degradation, environmental health effects of pollution, and nanomedicine. She currently oversees postgraduate training as Postgraduate Senior Tutor and coordinates the Nanomaterials 2 course. Awards include the Oppenheimer Research Fellowship and a Junior Research Fellowship at Cambridge.
Active in interdisciplinary projects, she leads a PhD opportunity investigating links between air pollution and Alzheimer's disease mechanisms. She maintains affiliations across engineering, biomedical, and environmental science domains.
