Alexandra Krettek is a Professor at the Department of Community Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, UiT The Arctic University of Norway. Her research spans preventive medicine, community medicine, social medicine, and global health, with a focus on cardiovascular disease prevention and population-based studies in Nepal and Northwest Russia.
She has led doctoral education courses like "Scientific Writing and Publishing in Health Sciences" (HEL-8026) and supervised over 15 PhD students and 15+ master's theses. From 2015-2023, she was part of the Arctic Health Research group, later transitioning to the Global and Environmental Health group in 2024.
