Alexandra Kapp is a postdoctoral researcher in the Scalable Software Systems research group at Technische Universität Berlin since January 2025. Her work focuses on mobility data science and privacy-preserving analytics, building on interdisciplinary research connecting geospatial technologies with data privacy.
Prior to this role, she conducted her PhD research at HTW Berlin (2021-2024) in collaboration with TU Dresden, centered on Privacy-Preserving Analytics of Human Mobility Data. She also held positions as a data analyst at the Mobility Institute Berlin and as a research assistant at the Technology Foundation Berlin, where she contributed to Berlin's geodata infrastructure projects.
Alexandra earned her M.Sc. in Computer Science in the Humanities from Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg in 2018. She has taught courses like Geospatial Analysis for Data Science at graduate level institutions.
