Alexandra Hoffmann is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Asian Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of British Columbia. Recent publications analyze emotional expressions in medieval Persian texts and the role of animals as symbols of masculinity and misogyny in the Sindbad-nameh. These works intersect with broader themes in Persian literature and cross-cultural studies.
