University of California, IrvineAbout
Alexandra Florea is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Irvine. Her research focuses on analytic number theory, particularly questions related to L-functions and their analytic properties.
She completed her PhD at Stanford University in 2017 under the supervision of Prof. Kannan Soundararajan. Prior to joining UC Irvine, she was a Ritt Assistant Professor and NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at Columbia University.
Her work examines deep connections between L-functions, modular forms, and automorphic representations using advanced analytic methods. Current projects investigate moments of L-functions and distribution of prime numbers using tools from harmonic analysis and complex analysis.
