Alexandra Alvarez

Alexandra Alvarez, MSc, is a Researcher affiliated with the University for Continuing Education Krems, working at the Center for Cultures and Technologies of Collecting. Her research focuses on the intersection of art and digital technologies, particularly exploring art experiences in the post-digital age.

She is currently the principle investigator for the FWF-funded project Art Experience in the (Post-) Digital Age - { original | digital | virtual } (2024–2027), examining how digital surrogates and virtual environments influence aesthetic engagement with art. This aligns with broader interests in cultural heritage preservation and digital museology.

Alexandra has also presented on topics such as Art Experience Between Original and Digital Surrogates at international conferences like the Third International Conference on Beauty and Change.
