Alexander Wollenberg

Dr. Alexander Wollenberg is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Science and Engineering at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi. He holds a PhD in Innovation-Based Productivity Growth from the National University of Singapore (2011) and an MA in International Relations from Waseda University (2003). His research focuses on economic integration, sustainable logistics, renewable energy policies, and value chains in emerging economies, particularly in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

His work examines how renewable energy deployment affects economic growth and logistics performance in GCC countries. Current projects include analyzing the energy mix of Saudi Arabia and the UAE and its implications for regional economic diversification.
