Alexander J. Rodriguez is a Professor of Physical Education at Pomona College and serves as the head coach for both the Men's and Women's Water Polo teams. He has been with Pomona College since 2005 and is based at the Center for Athletics, Recreation and Wellness in Claremont, California. His role combines academic instruction in physical education with elite-level coaching in intercollegiate athletics.

Rodriguez has received numerous honors for his coaching excellence, including the prestigious Monte Nitzkowski Distinguished Coaching Award from USA Water Polo and being named Division III National Coach of the Year for both men's and women's water polo in the 2011–12 academic year.
