Alexander Fletcher

Dr. Alexander Fletcher is a Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Cardiovascular & Metabolic Health at the University of Glasgow. His research focuses on cardiovascular imaging, aortic disease mechanisms, and pediatric endocrinology. He has contributed to studies on thoracic aortic microcalcification using PET/MRI, cardiotoxicity prevention strategies, and Turner syndrome growth therapy.

His work integrates molecular imaging techniques with clinical outcomes, aiming to improve diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for cardiovascular conditions. Notable projects include the Cardiac CARE trial evaluating drug combinations to mitigate anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity and studies on post-surgical aortic repair outcomes using sodium fluoride uptake metrics.
