Dr. Alexander Engelmann is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Strategy and Innovation Management (ISM) at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business. His research focuses on firm adaptation to environmental dynamics, particularly in mature industries transitioning to digital ecosystems. He examines strategy processes (dynamic capabilities, business model adaptation) and practices (framing, communication) to understand organizational resilience. Before academia, he worked in management consulting and as a certified Work & Organization psychologist.
