Alexander Eggeman

Dr Alexander Eggeman is a Royal Society Senior Research Fellow in Materials Engineering at the University of Manchester. His expertise lies in electron diffraction techniques for studying atomic structures in nanomaterials, alongside computational methods for diffraction simulation and data analysis. He holds a PhD from Oxford University (2007) and contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through advanced materials research.

Research focuses on nanocrystal passivation, high-entropy materials, and electrochemical catalysis. Key collaborations include studies on semiconductor nanomaterials and nuclear fuel cladding systems. He has published 47 articles, including work on CdS nanocrystals (2025), high-pressure material stability (2025), and electrochemical ammonia synthesis (2024).
