Alexander Edsel is a Senior Lecturer III in Management and Adjunct Professor at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. He holds an MBA from UT Dallas (1996) and a J.D. from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina (1988). His academic roles are complemented by extensive industry experience, including concurrent roles as Manager at Wellpoint, Inc. since 2003 and Manager at Compaq Computer Corp (2000–2001).
His research focuses on IoT and biometric market applications, digital tracking technologies, and strategies to mitigate business failures. He has authored two books: Trackable: Business in an IoT & Biometrics World and Breaking Failure, which explore technologies and methodologies for modern marketing challenges. He teaches courses on digital strategy, marketing automation, and e-commerce.
Edsel is a certified Google Adwords professional and holds certifications in database marketing, leadership, and project management. He is affiliated with organizations such as the American Marketing Association and Product Development and Management Association.
