Alexander Blachly

Alexander Blachly is a Professor of Musicology at the University of Notre Dame, where he has directed the Notre Dame Chorale since 1993 and leads the Festival Baroque Orchestra and Schola Musicorum. He is the founder and director of the renowned vocal ensemble Pomerium, active since 1972, which has produced 16 recordings of Renaissance music. His research focuses on Renaissance musicology, Gregorian chant, numerical-based polyphony, and medieval musical puzzles.
