About
Alexander Baumgartner is a Researcher at the University of Warwick's Department of Mathematics. His research focuses on symbolic approaches to geodesic flows on noncompact hyperbolic manifolds, real and complex continued fraction algorithms, Diophantine approximation, and thermodynamic formalism. He completed his PhD under Professor Mark Pollicott.
Research interests include interdisciplinary applications of dynamical systems theory to number theory and geometry. His recent work emphasizes extremal theory in complex continued fractions and geometric analysis of hyperbolic spaces.
Publications include a preprint on complex continued fractions co-authored with Mark Pollicott.
