Alexa McIntyre

Alexa McIntyre serves as an Assistant Professor at Linköping University, affiliated with the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences (BKV) and the Division of Molecular Medicine and Virology (MMV).

Her research spans critical areas in biomedical science with emphasis on:

• Molecular mechanisms of viral pathogenesis
• Host-pathogen interactions in clinical virology
• Translational approaches to viral disease treatment
• Biomedical diagnostic methodologies

Her work bridges fundamental virology research with clinical applications, focusing on molecular-level understanding of viral infections and their impact on human health. Current investigations include viral mutation dynamics and host immune responses within clinical contexts.
