Dr. Alex Waterman is a Lecturer in Peace Studies and International Development at the University of Bradford's School of Social Sciences (Faculty of Management, Law & Social Sciences) since September 2023. Previously, he served as a Research Fellow at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (Hamburg, 2021-2023) and University of Leeds (2015-2021), where he also earned a teaching award in 2021. His research focuses on civil war dynamics, particularly order construction in conflict zones, knowledge processes in warfare, and ceasefire mechanisms.
